Aftermath
[…] scars that can still hurt me.
As I said on the first day of this journey, there are some days that are painful to remember.
Those kinds of days leave a mark. I felt my body landing and crushing on the concrete floor.
Those marks are for life. When I overcame the situation, they can become an inspiring story to tell. But some of them, they become a weight that I carry on my backpack.
Calm the storm, know how to pick myself up, because I am a survivor.
Once I go back to business as usual, I may forget things happened. There will be one day, I go back in time, and I review the days after the earthquake.
The first impact might be the point to remember that time I experienced.
The learnings that come from it are those scars I wear proudly, but when I touch them closely, I can feel the pain.
